Michiko Starks is the Interim Training Director for PSEJATC. She has a B.A. from the University of Washington in Political Science and a M.S. in Public Administration from the New School of Social Research in New York. Michiko completed her apprenticeship with the PSEJATC in 2000 and was one of the top ten graduates of her class. |

Bob Book is a Seattle native and second generation Local 46 member. He began his career in the electrical industry in 1978. After graduating from the PSEJATC in 1982, he worked as a journeyman and foreman on both large and small projects in Local 46. Bob is a certified NFPA 70E electrical safety trainer and is a graduate of the NJATC National Training Institute. Bob is a member of the NJATC national curriculum review committee that reviews the curriculum that is used by the programs across the country. As Assistant Training Director, Bob is responsible for program scheduling, instructor support, applicant recruitment and facility management. |

Misty assists applicants as they make their way through the application process. She receives minimum qualification documents, schedules aptitude testing and interviews. She also holds New Apprentice Orientations. |

Waneva has been working full time with PSEJATC since February 2006. Waneva is the Journeyman Class Administrator. She oversees registration for Local 46 Journeyman classes. Waneva assists Journeymen in class registration to meet the requirements for the renewal of their State of Washington license. She also administers Veteran's Benefits. |

Ernie Tinker has worked in the Electrical Trade for over 32 years. He graduated from the Apprenticeship at PSEJATC and worked at Holmes Electric for over 23 years as a Foreman or General Foreman until becoming a full time instructor for PSEJATC. Ernie graduated from the NJATC National Training Institute as a NJACT Certified Instructor in 2004 and teaches the Solar Photovoltaic course along with other Journeyman and Apprenticeship classes. Ernie is also on the NJATC Distributed Energy Curriculum Committee. He has completed the International NECA/IBEW Train the Trainer classes on Solar Photovoltaic and is active with many Renewable Energy programs and conferences. Ernie supervised the Solar System Installation at the PSEJATC. Ernie is a strong supporter of quality training in the electrical industry. |

Began his electrical career in 1964 when he was employed by the Anaconda Copper Company as an apprentice lineman. In 1970 he left Anaconda to work in the electronics field and then in 1976 began teaching electronics at North Seattle Community College. C.J. then transferred to Renton Technical College where he taught electronics for 23 years before teaching full time at PSEJATC. C.J.’s contribution to PSEJATC has been teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th year commercial electrician curriculums over the past 6 years. C.J. says, “I have never been more contented or happy,” and his favorite quote is:
“If it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right.” Favorite number? š. Of course! 3.1415926535897936…etc

After completing a B.F.A. at Alfred University and then completing a multiple trades program at Renton Technical College, Katie turned her attention to the electrical industry. She then completed her Electrical Apprenticeship in 1993 with PSEJATC and obtained her Washington State Journey Electricians Certification. Continuing on with training, Katie completed numerous related electrical classes including High Voltage Cable Splicing, Foreman Training, IBEW Leadership Training, Master Instructor’s Training at the University of Tennessee and “Summer School for Union Women” at Evergreen State College. Katie began teaching part time at PSEJATC in 1999 and has taught full time apprenticeship classes since 2005. |
